Job Description

At Empowering Learning, we are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a positive impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in a school setting, particularly with students exhibiting behavioural difficulties. They will possess excellent organizational skills, with a focus on effective communication and teamwork. A passion for supporting and inspiring children, promoting their academic and personal growth, is essential.

The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing personalized learning plans for students with diverse needs. They will work collaboratively with staff and children during lunch and break times, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment. Daily care support to young people, addressing their physical and emotional requirements, is also a key aspect of the role.

A strong relationship builder, the successful candidate will cultivate strong relationships with students, empowering them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Designing and delivering 1:1 or small group activities tailored to individual student needs is a key responsibility of this position.

Evidence of student progress will inform assessment and evaluation processes, while physical management and care to pupils, prioritizing their safety and well-being, will be a critical aspect of the role. The estimated salary for this position is £27,000 - £37,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
