Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team at Shred-it, the market leader in information security solutions. With over 35 years of experience and 500,000+ customers worldwide, we offer unparalleled opportunities for success.
Your primary role will be to identify new business opportunities in your assigned geographical area, build relationships with potential clients, and convert these prospects into active accounts. You will spend approximately 75% of your time on the road closing deals and 25% cold calling and appointment setting.
We specialize in information security and document destruction solutions, providing businesses and consumers with innovative technologies, protocols, and practices to mitigate workplace privacy breaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new business development in your assigned geographical area, successfully converting self-generated leads into active accounts.
- Identify new opportunities through multiple channels, including Salesforce, LinkedIn, Endole, Canvasing, and other tools.
- Attend internal sales forecast meetings, prepared with relevant data on current market opportunities, sales pipeline figures, and overview of sales activity.
- Sell new business sales, focusing solely on acquiring new clients; once an account is secured, it is passed to our internal team, allowing you to move on to the next sale.
Salary and Benefits:
We guarantee 50% of commission payments for the first three months, with opportunities to earn more if targets are exceeded. A basic salary up to £36,000 (dependent on experience) and on-target earnings £17,000 + uncapped commission structure (realistically reaching £60-70,000 after 12 months).
