The role of Senior Pastoral Lead is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young adults. Located on the Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border, this position requires a high level of expertise in safeguarding and pastoral care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing behaviour and safeguarding policies, ensuring compliance with statutory guidelines and regulations. This includes coordinating attendance policy implementation and providing relevant training to staff through CPD. Additionally, they will communicate with parents, carers, employees, agencies, and local authorities regarding progress and intervention strategies.
With a proven track record of creative and structured pastoral interventions in special needs environments, the ideal candidate will have experience holding responsibility for turning policy into effective practice. They should also have a strong understanding of ASD intervention strategies (TEACCH, attention Autism) and OFSTED & CQC inspections. A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are essential requirements.
This position offers a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role in supporting vulnerable individuals. As a registered member of Teaching Personnel, all applicants must possess the necessary qualifications and undergo enhanced DBS checks.
