Job Summary

Clyde & Co is seeking a highly skilled Early Careers Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all trainees through their training contract, working closely with the Training Principal on seat allocation, reviews, and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive early careers strategy to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Collaborate with the Training Principal to ensure seamless trainee onboarding and allocation to suitable seats.
  • Work closely with the Casualty business to develop and deliver the Paralegal Academy qualification pathway.
  • Partner with the business and HR team to build a robust apprentice and early years career strategy.
  • Ensure regular communication with trainees on firm news and issues surrounding routes to admission.
  • Report graduate recruitment statistics to the Management Board for firm-wide discussion.
  • Monitor competitors and continuously improve our approach to early careers development.

Requirements

  • Proven managerial experience in early careers development, preferably within legal or professional services.
  • Excellent client service orientation, communication skills, and ability to work with fee earners and staff at all levels.
  • Strong influencing skills, ability to build credibility, and inspire confidence and respect at all levels.
  • Experience of managing and motivating direct reports.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment across HR and the wider firm.
