About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Families First Coordinator to join our team in Hertfordshire County Council. As a key member of our Supporting Families Practice Team, you will play a vital role in delivering training, support, and guidance to professionals working with families across the county.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver training and support to professionals on Early Help assessments and support in Hertfordshire.
  • Work closely with the Senior Families First Coordinator to ensure effective delivery of Early Help support to partners and practitioners.
  • Identify and signpost to other Early Help services available, and be knowledgeable about referral pathways and processes.
  • Meet with families to help identify their needs and assist their Key Worker to undertake a Families First Assessment (FFA).
  • Devise SMART Action Plans to help meet the needs of families and attend Team Around the Family (TAF) Meetings.
  • Deliver group and 1:1 training to professionals both virtually and in person.
Requirements
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of Families First Assessments and Early Help support in Hertfordshire.
  • Experience of Multi-agency working to deliver Early Help with the confidence to communicate across various levels.
  • Experience of interacting and working with families, children, and young people.
  • Excellent attention to detail and report writing skills.
  • Experience in effective stakeholder engagement across a variety of services and agencies.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent digital literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft.
