About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEND Provision Coordinator to join our team at Hertfordshire County Council. As a key member of our statutory SEND workforce, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that children and young people with special educational needs receive the support and provision they require.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the provision of education, health, and care (EHC) plans for children and young people educated outside of traditional educational establishments.
  • Broker and secure appropriate packages of support, ensuring that provision is tailored to meet the individual needs of each child or young person.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to manage complex arrangements for children and young people with complex needs.
  • Support families and schools to understand statutory processes for SEND and our local offer of support in Hertfordshire.

Requirements:

  • Education to A level or equivalent as a minimum.
  • Excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act 2014.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of literacy to support good case recording and quality EHC plans.
  • Desirable: Experience of brokering packages of support, working with schools to deliver SEND provision, or experience of coproduction with parents.
