Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Specialist Provision School in Hertford. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of secondary age boys with SEMH needs.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will provide support to students in the classroom, under the direction of the class teacher. This will involve maintaining a tidy and organized classroom environment, ensuring accessible resources are available, and working effectively with other members of staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students on a whole class, small group, and one-to-one basis, promoting their progression and well-being
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other staff members to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with the upkeep of the classroom, ensuring resources are organized and accessible
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents

Requirements

  • Recent experience working in a secondary school or with school-aged children
  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable
  • SEND experience is highly desirable
