Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ecommerce Trading Specialist to join our team at Mountain Warehouse. As a key member of our eCommerce team, you will be responsible for driving an impactful customer experience for our marketplace customers, driving decisions from data-led insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and compile accurate reports on trading and KPI performance, drawing insight and making recommendations that drive growth.
  • Pre-empt trading risks and opportunities through data-driven, proactive, recommendations.
  • Responsible for the Marketplace customer journey through the site to improve the conversion, reduce bounce rate and basket abandonment. Using analytics tools to understand the pinch points of customer experience & drive initiative to improve.
  • Input into broader strategy, defining any necessary development goals for the project roadmap.
  • Maintain the marketplace trading calendar and manage promotional and merchandising strategies for the marketplace in collaboration with the wider eCommerce Trade and Category teams.
  • Work closely with Marketplace seller team to identify and propose brands and products for participation in promotional and social activities, tracking performance and providing feedback.
  • Work alongside the marketing and acquisition & retention teams to maximise performance of promotions, campaigns and seasonal best sellers.
  • Create & optimise marketplace categories through a discoverability perspective, identifying and driving improvements in existing navigation and copy.
  • Provide any ad hoc analysis, using various analytical tools, for insights on any issues or performance and following up on the solutions.
  • Manage the process of sales budgeting from top line numbers to period re-forecast and KPI settings.
  • Work closely with the rest of the marketplace team to drive actions on sellers, provide insight and influence product and seller strategy.
  • Present ideas and updates to all levels of seniority.

Requirements

  • Min 4 years eCommerce background in a similar role, preferably with experience of marketplaces.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience analysing data to identify trends.
  • Excellent Excel Skills and experience using Power BI and Google Analytics.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in a high-growth or startup environment highly desirable.
  • Thrives in a busy environment with ability to adapt to last minute requirements.
  • Highly organised and efficient.
