Ecclesiastical Insurance, part of Benefact Group plc, is seeking a skilled Regional Insurance Business Developer to drive sustainable growth in the South West Region. This exciting opportunity involves proactively managing broker relationships within a panel to generate new business and retention.

About the Role
The successful candidate will develop high-quality sales processes and long-term outlooks, fostering mutually beneficial business relationships between partners and Ecclesiastical. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining successful contact strategies for each broker, working with internal and external stakeholders to support great customer outcomes, and collaborating with Ecclesiastical UK colleagues to leverage business relationships and implement agreed strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain successful contact strategies for each broker.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to support great customer outcomes.
  • Support Strategic Account Managers with continuous feedback to deliver regional account plans.
  • Collaborate with Ecclesiastical UK colleagues to leverage business relationships and implement agreed strategies.
  • Acting within Ecclesiastical's risk appetite, target, win and retain business in core market sectors, delivering profitable growth through:
    • Prospecting, including using and growing CRM pipelines.
    • Planning and delivering agreed activity levels.
    • Delivering high-quality sales processes.
    • Driving profitable new business growth.
  • Support renewal processes.
  • Represent all areas of Ecclesiastical UK's Intermediated business.
  • Work with technical support functions to deliver exceptional service and propositions to brokers and their customers.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong track record in commercial insurance sales within the UK market, proven ability to build productive relationships internally and externally, excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, knowledge of tactical marketing campaigns, and ability to plan, prioritise and manage own work to deliver agreed objectives and meet targets. You should also have appropriate IT and data skills, including Microsoft suite, effective and appropriate communication skills, commitment to delivering exceptional service as an individual and team member, understanding of relevant regulations for good customer outcomes, and understanding of data protection and confidentiality.
