Interventional Cardiology Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Cardiology Consultant to join our dynamic team at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. This is a fixed-term position, with a substantive replacement consultant PCI post to be appointed in due course. The successful candidate will work closely with Consultant Colleagues and the current Cardiology Lead, acting as a mentor to the newly appointed locum consultant if desired.
The post holder will be responsible for providing PCI and general cardiology services, as well as participating in the out-of-hours On-Call service for the department and the 24/7 PCI on-call service. The successful candidate will be part of a 1:17 week cardiology ward weekday on-call rota, supported by a middle grade, specialty doctors, and FY2s and ANPs.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of the Cardiology Directorate.
