Job Summary:

A Locum Consultant in Haematology is sought to work full time at New Cross Hospital. This role offers a unique opportunity for a GMC registered Doctor with relevant experience to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the hospital's multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnosis, Treatment, and Patient Care: Provide comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and patient care to patients with haematological conditions, including preoperative, operative, and postoperative management.
  • Patient Support and Communication: Actively support patients and their families, communicating clinical information to explain diagnoses and treatment options, and coordinating treatment plans.
  • Treatment Planning and Prescription: Coordinate treatment plans and prescribe various types of treatment, including medications and other interventions, as required.
  • Continuous Monitoring and Care: Provide constant monitoring and care for patients, recognizing, reviewing, and reporting any changes in their condition.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate with patients and the wider multidisciplinary team on shared patient decision making, working in and leading teams as required.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Be a GMC registered Doctor, with relevant experience at Consultant level, or references to support your transition up to Consultant level.
  • Right to Work: Hold evidence of stand-alone Right to Work in the UK, as Medacs cannot offer visa sponsorship for locum jobs.
  • Enhanced Background Check: Pass an enhanced background check (DBS) to ensure a safe and secure working environment.
