Permanency Specialist for Children in Care

We are seeking a skilled Permanency Specialist to join our dedicated team within the Essex County Council Children in Care department.
The role is based in Harlow, working closely with experienced managers who prioritize providing high-quality and regular supervision. Our team practices social work from a systemic perspective, promoting strengths-based and relationship-based practice.
In this position, you will be responsible for developing permanency plans, including Special Guardianship Orders (SGO) and adoption. You will also undertake life-story work to enable children to understand their situation.
To succeed in this role, you should hold a diploma or degree in social work, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent, and be registered with Social Work England as a registered Social Worker. We offer competitive pay rates, up to £50,000 per annum, based on experience.
