About the Job

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a motivated and skilled Children's Diabetes Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialist paediatric diabetes care management for children and young people across West Essex and specific areas within East & North Hertfordshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-established service consisting of experienced professionals who share a passion for delivering high-quality care to children with diabetes. You will be supported by our multidisciplinary team, including consultants, nurses, dietitians, and clerical staff, to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paediatric nursing, preferably as a Band 6 Registered Sick Children's Nurse. Experience of working with children with long-term conditions, including families with psychosocial needs, is essential. Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist paediatric diabetes care management for all children and young people across West Essex and specific areas within East & North Hertfordshire.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans for each child or young person.
  • Collaborate with the wider team and multi-disciplinary teams to provide holistic specialist diabetes nursing care.
  • Provide teaching and education to other colleagues within health and from other agencies.

Estimated Salary: £50,000 per annum (plus benefits package)
