Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Paediatric Nurse to join our team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Paediatric Nurse, you will play a key role in leading and managing the delivery of high-quality patient care in our paediatric department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Manage the day-to-day staffing arrangements and rotas to ensure safe levels of practice. Be a shift coordinator on a regular basis where appropriate.
  • Clinical Governance: Ensure that the team promotes, ensures, and adheres to the Trust safeguarding policies. Participate in the promoting and safeguarding of high standards of care through effective risk management and governance.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Demonstrate good leadership skills and ensure that communication is effective between the patient, relatives, and members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Professional Development: Participate in any local or related research projects, clinical trials, etc. Identify areas of nursing/midwifery research within their area that will be of benefit and encourage and educate other staff to recognize the importance of research.
Requirements
  • Experience in a senior nursing role in a paediatric setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and risk management principles.
