Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Paediatric Intensive Care Nurse to join our team at Leaders in Care. As a Senior Paediatric Intensive Care Nurse, you will be responsible for leading the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and providing high-quality patient care to children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement holistic care plans for children
  • Mentor and act as a role model for junior and student nurses
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
  • Foster strong relationships with children and their families
  • Ensure excellent clinical governance and participate in audits
  • Supervise and assess students, and lead shifts as needed
Requirements
  • NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support
  • Post Graduate experience in a PICU setting
  • Understanding of Safeguarding issues
  • Teaching and mentoring experience (desirable)
  • Completion of a PICU Course equivalent to 60 credits
  • Excellent clinical governance and audit experience
  • Experience in supervising, assessing students, and shift leading (desirable)
