Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Paediatric Nurse Leader to join our dynamic team in the Paediatric Surgical Directorate. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the nursing team and providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursing team: Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and a good patient experience.
  • Manage department resources: Oversee the management of department resources, including staff, equipment, and budget.
  • Develop and implement policies: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the department is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive seamless care.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance: Monitor and evaluate the performance of the nursing team and department, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a senior nurse in a paediatric surgical setting.
  • Qualifications: Registered Nurse (Child) or equivalent qualification.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of paediatric surgical care and the ability to apply this knowledge in a clinical setting.
