About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our Paediatric Department. As a Band 6 Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily running of the acute service, managing admissions, discharges, and the flow of patients within the department.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the Paediatric Department, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and reduce waiting times.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Contribute to data collection, KPIs, and audits to drive quality improvement.
  • Participate in health roster management and staff scheduling.

Requirements

  • Significant relevant clinical experience in paediatrics.
  • Leadership potential and ability to manage a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
