Senior Paediatric Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Nurse to join our dynamic and rapidly developing team at the North Middlesex University Hospital. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our department.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate the department in the absence of more senior staff, escalating where necessary.
- Participate in the teaching and supervision of junior staff and student nurses, helping to lead and manage their development.
- Provide safe and effective patient care, adhering to NMC Code of Professional Conduct at all times.
- Liaise effectively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient needs are met and services are delivered in accordance with National Service Frameworks and agreed Clinical Care Guidelines.
- Act as a positive role model, exercising leadership and taking all possible steps to safeguard the welfare and safety of all staff.
- Registered Nurse with significant experience working on a paediatric ward/unit.
- Possession of a relevant degree or in the process of obtaining.
- Ability to plan and care for a group of patients, with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Committed to family-centred care and able to make effective decisions autonomously and in partnership with children, families, and the multidisciplinary team.

We also provide a Paediatric Urgent Care Service and have a team of Paediatric Nurse Practitioners.
