We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Nurse to join our dynamic team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. As a Senior Paediatric Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate the department in the absence of more senior staff, escalating where necessary.
- Participate in the teaching and supervision of junior staff and student nurses, helping to lead and manage their development.
- Provide safe and effective care to patients and their families, adhering to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
- Act as a positive role model to junior staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide evidence-based, holistic care to a wide range of patients.
- Uphold the rules, policies, procedures, and standards of North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust, as well as relevant statutory and professional obligations.
- Registered Nurse with significant experience working on a paediatric ward/unit.
- Possession of a relevant degree or in the process of obtaining.
- Significant acute paediatric experience at Band 5.
- Broad experience of clinical paediatric nursing practice within a hospital environment.
- Experience of working with acute/chronically ill children.
- Experience of taking charge and supervising junior staff and peers.
- Experience of managing a ward/team.
- Experience of working within an acute and/or community paediatric team.
