We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Home from Home Coordinator to lead our foster scheme, providing short-term care for dogs in need.

About this role:

  • Recruit, manage, and support a team of volunteer foster carers.
  • Monitor dog progress, conducting regular phone calls and home visits.
  • Transport dogs to foster placements, veterinary appointments, and meet potential adopters.
  • Collaborate with Centre staff and other departments on marketing and rehoming efforts.

About you:

You will be a confident communicator, able to handle sensitive situations with tact and professionalism. We require someone with a positive attitude, experience in dog handling and rehoming, and strong administrative skills.

About the team:

Our rehoming centres are the face of Dogs Trust, and our staff pride themselves on providing exceptional customer service. As a Home from Home Coordinator, you will be part of a close-knit team that shares a passion for animal welfare.

What you need to know:

This role requires a full, clean, manual driving licence, as driving will be an essential part of the job. The working hours are 8am-4:30pm or 11:30am-8pm, 5 days a week, and will be discussed further at interview.
