Senior Substance Misuse School Link Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Substance Misuse School Link Practitioner to join our team at Catch22. As a key member of our substance misuse services, you will work closely with schools across the region to support the development of relevant policy, procedure, and training.
Your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between schools and our substance misuse services, promoting healthy behaviors in children and young people. You will engage with a range of stakeholders, including education staff, parents, and carers, to provide support and guidance on substance misuse concerns and incidents.
Main Duties:- Develop and deliver training for education staff on substance misuse awareness and prevention.
- Provide targeted support to parents and carers of children with substance misuse concerns, including one-to-one sessions and workshops.
- Collaborate with local schools and agencies to deliver a holistic package of care, including attending multi-agency meetings and ensuring effective referrals and care management.
- Offer initial triage and assessment for students with substance misuse concerns, and refer them to our substance misuse services as appropriate.
- Provide specialist harm reduction advice and information to parents and carers, and refer children to our services as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate data recording, including tracking, outcome monitoring, and KPI reporting.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in substance misuse, youth work, or a related field. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders. Requirements:- NVQ3 Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Specialist knowledge of alcohol and substance misuse, including risks and effects.
- Ability to engage with and build relationships with a range of stakeholders, including education staff, parents, and carers.
- Experience in delivering training and presentations to professionals and partners.
