Job Overview

The Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust's Learning Disability Crisis Response Intensive Support Team provides high-level support to individuals with Learning Disabilities who are experiencing a crisis related to complex mental health and behavioral needs.

We offer rapid assessment, support, and risk management to prevent placement breakdown and inappropriate hospital admissions.

The team consists of experienced professionals, including Learning Disability and Mental Health Nurses, Support Workers, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Psychiatrists. We provide a 7-day service, from 8 am to 9 pm, including bank holidays.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and operational leadership to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and adherence to Trust policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement effective clinical care pathways and risk management strategies.
  • Supervise and mentor team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including families, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development of the team's strategic plan and ensure alignment with the Trust's overall objectives.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in Learning Disability services, with a focus on crisis management and Positive Behavioural Support (PBS).
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
