Position Overview

We are seeking to appoint:

Band 8a Physiotherapy Clinical Professional Lead 0.8 WTE

The Learning Disability and Autism Service (LD&A) at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is on the lookout for dedicated and skilled leaders to enhance our Allied Health Professional (AHP) Services within LD&A.

This position will offer both clinical and professional leadership across our community and inpatient LD&A services.

As our service evolves through investment and quality enhancement, this role is crucial in ensuring that the voice of Physiotherapy is effectively represented, while also aiding in the development and structuring of Physiotherapy services.

All clinical leadership roles will have the opportunity to manage a small clinical caseload, fostering your professional clinical growth.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will:

Guide the advancement of the Physiotherapy team across all Adult LD&A inpatient and community services to facilitate ongoing quality enhancement in service delivery.

Be accountable for the clinical and professional leadership regarding clinical quality and operational management within the Learning Disability and Autism Service (LD&A).

Identify clinical priorities at both operational and strategic levels for Physiotherapy, ensuring the highest standards of clinical and professional practice through effective leadership, clinical supervision, mentorship, and practice development.

Engage in both direct and indirect specialist clinical work, demonstrating high-level expertise in complex situations and a range of therapeutic interventions.

Collaborate with all Clinical and Professional leads to ensure coordinated efforts across locality teams.

Establish and maintain a clear framework for clinical and professional guidance and support for Physiotherapy services.

Ensure quality and evidence-based clinical practice in alignment with HCPC and professional body standards.
