Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to take on a pivotal role within our Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Service at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. This leadership position is designed for an individual who is passionate about enhancing the quality of care provided to our community.

The primary objective of this leadership role is to ensure the safety and quality of the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy services delivered to our patients. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Team Leads and the Service Manager to ensure the service adapts and grows in response to the evolving needs of our users while efficiently managing resources.

Candidates should have extensive experience in an MSK environment at a senior level, demonstrating advanced clinical knowledge and skills that will foster both team and individual development, leading to improved clinical outcomes across the service.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the successful applicant will engage in audit and quality enhancement initiatives, while also overseeing designated teams and individual clinicians.

This role includes a clinical caseload, which will be managed within our designated clinics.

The successful candidate will primarily support teams across the broader service area, ensuring a collaborative approach to care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Team Lead and Service Manager in developing and delivering a high-quality Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Service.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align with the strategic goals of the Community Health Services Directorate and the modernization of therapy services.
  • Work alongside other Clinical Leads to ensure safety and quality assurance across the service.
  • Provide robust clinical leadership, serving as a resource for advanced clinical reasoning and specialist support to clinical staff.
  • Conduct regular group and individual clinical supervision for clinical team members.
  • Maintain clinical responsibility for a specific caseload within the service.
  • Step in for the Team Lead as necessary, as agreed with the Service Manager.
  • Uphold advanced clinical knowledge and skills to support the development of the team and improve clinical outcomes.
  • Deliver this role across multiple sites and teams within the Musculoskeletal Service, collaborating with fellow Clinical Lead Physiotherapists.

The Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy service comprises both qualified and unqualified staff delivering essential services across the region.
