Position Overview

We are seeking to appoint:

Band 8a Physiotherapy Clinical Professional Lead 0.8 WTE

The Learning Disability and Autism Service (LD&A) at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is in search of dedicated and skilled leaders to enhance our Allied Health Professional (AHP) Services within LD&A.

This role is pivotal in providing both clinical and professional guidance across our community and inpatient LD&A services.

As we embark on a journey of investment and quality enhancement, this position will be essential in ensuring that the Physiotherapy perspective is acknowledged and in aiding the evolution and structuring of Physiotherapy services.

All clinical leadership roles include the opportunity to manage a limited clinical caseload, which supports your ongoing professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will:

Guide the advancement of the Physiotherapy team across all Adult LD&A inpatient and community services to foster ongoing quality improvements in service delivery.

Be accountable for both clinical and professional leadership, ensuring operational excellence within the Learning Disability and Autism Service (LD&A).

Identify clinical priorities at both operational and strategic levels for Physiotherapy, maintaining the highest standards of clinical and professional practice through effective leadership, supervision, mentorship, and practice development.

Engage in both direct and indirect specialist clinical work, demonstrating high-level expertise in complex situations and a range of therapeutic interventions.

Collaborate with all Clinical and Professional leads to ensure coordinated efforts across locality teams.

Establish and uphold a clear framework for clinical and professional support for Physiotherapy services.

Ensure that clinical practice adheres to quality and evidence-based standards in alignment with HCPC and professional body guidelines.
