Position Overview

This dynamic leadership opportunity is available for a skilled professional to join a dedicated team of Clinical Leads within the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Service at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust.

The primary focus of this Clinical Leadership team is to ensure the safety and quality of MSK Physiotherapy services delivered to the community. The team collaborates closely with Team Leads and the Service Manager to adapt the service in response to user needs while effectively managing resources.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in an MSK environment at a senior level, demonstrating advanced clinical expertise and the ability to foster both team and individual growth, leading to improved clinical outcomes across the service.

This role includes responsibilities for audit and quality enhancement initiatives, as well as supervisory duties for designated teams and individual clinicians.

The successful candidate will maintain a clinical caseload while fulfilling these leadership responsibilities, primarily within designated clinics.

The role will involve supporting teams across various locations within the service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist the Team Lead/Service Manager in developing and delivering a high-quality Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Service.
  • Collaborate with the Team Lead/Service Manager to align with the strategic objectives of the Community Health Services Directorate and the modernization of therapy services.
  • Work effectively with fellow Clinical Leads to uphold safety and quality standards.
  • Provide strong clinical leadership, offering advanced clinical reasoning and specialist support to clinical staff.
  • Deliver regular group and individual clinical supervision to team members.
  • Manage a designated clinical caseload within the service.
  • Act as a deputy for the Team Lead as required.
  • Maintain advanced clinical knowledge and skills to support team and individual development, enhancing clinical outcomes.
  • Facilitate the delivery of this role across multiple sites and teams within the MSK Service, collaborating with other Clinical Lead Physiotherapists.

The Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy service encompasses both qualified and unqualified personnel providing care across the community.
