Special Needs Education Assistant Job Summary:

We are recruiting a highly motivated and caring Special Needs Education Assistant to join our team in Northumberland. As a Special Needs Education Assistant, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Tasks:

  • Supporting students with special educational needs in a variety of settings, including classrooms and residential centres
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery, including developing and implementing individualized support plans
  • Engaging students in activities that promote social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Communicating effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support for students

Salary and Contract:

The successful candidate can expect a salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a year-long contract with potential for extension and the opportunity to work in the school's residential centre (optional).
