Job Description: Residential Lead Professional

Location: Formby

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Lead Professional to lead our children's residential care home in Formby. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead and manage the home, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
    • Develop staff skills and manage all people-related matters.
  • Key Skills:
    • Provide high-quality, therapeutic care and advocacy for children and young people.
    • Ensure the staff team is equipped to deliver the highest standards of care.
  • Education and Qualifications:
    • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (essential).
    • Significant experience working with young people in residential care (essential).
    • Proven supervisory and management experience within children's residential care (essential).
    Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of child development, Children's Homes Regulations (2015), and therapeutic interventions.
  • Ability to lead a team, manage challenging behaviour positively, and provide high-quality care and advocacy.
