Join Our Team: The University of Kent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security professional to lead our digital security efforts.

We are looking for a talented individual to take charge of our Cyber Security strategy, driving innovation and strategy development to safeguard our university from the latest cyber threats. As the Head of Cyber Security, you will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated professionals and working closely with visionary leaders to shape the future of digital services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement forward-thinking cyber security strategies and policies
  • Lead the design and implementation of security solutions to protect our digital assets
  • Manage key vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
  • Ensure compliance with service level agreements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in leading cyber security teams and developing strategic plans
  • Expert technical skills across network security, system security, application security, and incident response
  • Talent for managing key vendor relationships and negotiating contracts
