Executive Director

Antarctica New Zealand is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Executive to lead our organisation in developing, managing, and executing New Zealand government activities in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of fostering cohesive organisational cultures that support collaboration, effective strategic and people leadership, and exposure to overseeing an organisation with complex health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the organisation.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to achieve organisational goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including the New Zealand government, international partners, and the scientific community.
- Oversee the development and implementation of organisational policies and procedures.
- Lead the organisation's commitment to environmental protection and sustainability.
The Chief Executive will be based at Antarctica New Zealand's corporate office in Christchurch and will require frequent travel to Antarctica and other locations.
