About the Role

In this exciting opportunity, you will be working as a Financial Operations Assistant within our dynamic Finance Team at IN-SYNC.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our financial operations, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our client bank account management for the Self-Assessment Tax function.

You will be working closely with our team to reconcile multimillion-pound bank accounts, create invoices, and disburse Self-Assessment rebates from HMRC to clients, as well as handling inter-company transactions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Client account reconciliation, including allocating self-assessment receipts and calculating disbursements
  • Producing invoicing data for our outsourcing partners
  • Daily/weekly payments of Self-Assessment rebates
  • Generating Self-Assessment invoices
  • Credit control collection across all IN-SYNC products and liaising with Underwriting
  • Communicating with clients in a timely manner
  • Ensuring clients are kept up-to-date and successfully resolving any issues and queries
  • Building relationships with colleagues, clients, suppliers, and third parties
  • Following departmental processes and procedures, ensuring compliance is adhered to in all instances
  • Identifying process/procedure improvements to positively impact standards, efficiencies, and profitability

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Understanding of accountancy and tax rules
  • Experience within an office or accountancy environment
  • Excellent IT skills - advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and the ability to use complex bespoke systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent accuracy, numeracy, and attention to detail
  • Resilient and pro-active
  • Good time management with the ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently, both written and verbally
Desirable Skills

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Previous experience working financially with self-employed workers
  • Experience working with clients and client account monies
  • Knowledge of accountancy practices or part qualification AAT, if possible
