About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Assistant to join our team at Howett Thorpe. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our finance team and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process invoices on a daily basis in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Make daily and weekly payments of rebates and liaise with suppliers regarding any issues that may arise.
  • Set up new client accounts on our bespoke accounting system, ensuring seamless integration and efficient data management.
  • Conduct credit control collections across all areas of the business, maintaining strong relationships with internal colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Perform client account reconciliations, including allocating self-assessment receipts, to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity within the finance team.
  • Support the production of financial reports and raise any concerns to senior finance personnel.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar financial operations role.
  • Experience in banking or financial services is also highly valued.
  • Excellent IT skills and attention to detail are essential for this position.
  • AAT or QBE qualifications are desirable but not required.
