Join us at the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) as a Small Animal Care Support volunteer and contribute to the care and rehabilitation of small animals such as rabbits, birds, and rodents.

About the Role

As a Small Animal Care Support volunteer, you will be responsible for providing essential care and attention to the animals in our shelter, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring their health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Feed and provide fresh water for the animals
  2. Clean and maintain the animal enclosures
  3. Monitor the animals' health and report any concerns to the staff
  4. Assist with administrative tasks related to animal care
  5. Participate in fundraising events to support the RSPCA's mission
Requirements:
  • Age 16 or over (18 at some centres)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to lift and move animal supplies
  • Passion for animal welfare and conservation
