Supported Living Worker - CQC Accommodation Based

Monkseaton, North Tyneside

Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw)

Pay £12.00 per hour (£23,464 per annum) and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

Typical day as our Supported Living Worker 

Assisting customers with practical, daily living tasks to develop their independence, helping them to achieve the goals, aspirations and outcomes documented in their support plans.  We help our customers achieve their goals, this can be doing anything from keeping their home clean and tidy to arranging fun filled days out We support our 2 brilliant customers who have learning disabilities and live in their own purpose built bungalow in North Tyneside. Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.  Support to attend appointments, take part in hobbies and interests or attend college or work Supporting customers with their personal care and medication needs outlined in their support plan Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.  Cuppas, chats and catch ups. There’s no rushing from one customer to the next here Plenty of time to work together with colleagues too.

You have

A Level 2 Health and Social Care Certificate or are prepared to work towards it Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working together with an eye for detail Experience of caring for others, you may have worked in care before or have experience of caring for others such as family members or children Experience of working on own initiative, remaining calm under pressure and having a resilient approach  A flexible, personal approach, listening to customers to understand their needs, recognising every customer is different  To make sure that our customers can achieve their goals, you must hold a valid UK/EU driving licence and be over the age of 25 to be covered by Motability insurance.

Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review

You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements.

Our service manager is Georgia, who is very passionate about supporting the team to work at their best and achieve fantastic outcomes for the customers. We are a small team and we love to support each other

Job details

Where we’re flexible with you, we do need to meet the needs of our customers. That may mean adapting your start or finishing times on occasion.  You’ll work on a rota basis including day shifts and sleep ins and take your turn working weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you Able to use technology to update support plans, complete online learning and to collaborate with colleagues.  You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
