About the Role
We are seeking an Animal Assistant to join our RSPCA team, responsible for caring for cats in our centres. As an Animal Assistant, you will be part of a dynamic team working towards giving cats a second chance at a happy life. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and experience in animal care while making a real difference in the lives of these wonderful animals.

Salary: £28,000 per annum

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience working with companion animals, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to form strong relationships with our staff, volunteers, and the animals in our care, providing exceptional care and support to help them thrive. Your dedication to animal welfare and ability to work as part of a team will enable you to make a significant impact in our centres.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with cat care and enrichment activities, including feeding, grooming, and playtime.
  • Supporting cat adoption processes, ensuring smooth transitions from our centres to new homes.
  • Maintaining accurate records of animal behaviour, health, and welfare.
