We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our team at the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and make a difference in the lives of small animals.

Job Description

This rewarding role involves caring for rabbits, birds, and rodents, providing them with love, attention, and a safe environment until they find a new home. As an animal care assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of these animals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide food and water for the animals
  • Clean the animal accommodation
  • Check the animals for happiness and health
  • Restock supplies
  • Wash food trays
Requirements:
  • Age 16 or over (18 at some centres)
  • Ability to work alone and perform physical tasks
  • Comfortable working with hay, fur, and feathered animals
  • Passion for animal welfare
