We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Category Management Team, you will be responsible for managing commercial agreements and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a range of senior stakeholders from across the public sector and industry. You will have the chance to shape commercial strategies, drive value for money, and make a real difference to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and end-to-end category management of existing and future commercial agreements
  • Lead on supplier and customer relationship management, including data analysis and reporting
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers to identify and drive customer-focused initiatives and networks
  • Proactively counsel on customer relationship management activities to build strong relationships with key customers
  • Effectively lead risk and issue management processes, ensuring mitigation and escalation as necessary
  • Act as a source of knowledge and advice for customers, influencing their buying behaviours and aiding commercial strategies
  • Assist the Commercial Lead in updating and developing the category strategy and presenting it to key stakeholders
  • Lead marketing and communication activities for commercial agreements
  • Help develop other team members, ensuring resilience in the team
  • Identify and provide recommendations for process improvements, implementing solutions to benefit CCS and customers

Requirements:

  • Experience of category/commercial agreement management, with a track record of directing performance and delivering customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, assessing data and making informed decisions in complex environments
  • Proven experience leading supplier and customer relationship management
  • Demonstrable experience working proactively and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
