About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at EdEx. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with young pupils aged 4-5, providing individualized support to help them develop their skills and confidence.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist pupils with their learning, focusing on areas such as motor skills, language development, and pastoral support. You will work in a 1:1 setting, as well as in group settings, to maximize the pupils' potential.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about working with young learners, has a Cache Level 3 qualification, and possesses strong GCSE and A-Level grades. If you are a bright graduate with a creative approach to teaching and learning, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support young pupils aged 4-5 in their learning journey
  2. Assist pupils with motor skills development, including holding a pen, picking up a water bottle, and drawing
  3. Help pupils with language development, focusing on putting words together and creating simple sentences
  4. Provide pastoral support to all pupils
  5. Work with pupils who have Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other special educational needs
  6. Collaborate with the SEN team to develop individualized support plans
  7. Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
