Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join our team as an External Sales Representative. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for growing and servicing your business, winning new work, and developing relationships with customers, hauliers, and suppliers to achieve maximum orders in both volume and profit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver against your area's budget in line with agreed targets.
  • Develop and retain key relationships with our haulage and material supply chain to gain a competitive advantage in the market.
  • Ensure customers receive an excellent experience across pricing, service, and end-to-end administration.
  • Enjoy handling a variety of business challenges in a dynamic and varied environment.
  • Forecast a three-month outlook against your budget and present your strategy to deliver this, setting objectives and goals for you and your team.
  • Lead from the front in chasing leads to convert new business opportunities.
  • Promote the company image and develop good customer-company relationships.
  • Maintain a clean business by resolving queries and managing your own business admin.
  • Perform specific tasks as directed by line managers.
Desirable Experience
  • Hold a full UK driving license (essential).
  • Reside in the North East and be willing to work on the road, with occasional overnight stays (essential).
  • External sales/field sales experience (desirable).
  • Broad product range knowledge - aggregates and waste removal (desirable).
