We are seeking a driven and adaptable individual to join our team at GRS Group as an External Sales Representative. The role requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to learn from any losses and celebrate every win.

Job Purpose:

To grow and service your business; win new work, find opportunities in the market and develop relationships with your customers, hauliers and suppliers to achieve maximum orders in both volume and profit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver against your area's budget in line with agreed targets.
  • Develop and retain key relationships with our haulage and material supply chain to give you an advantage in the market.
  • Ensure your customers receive an excellent experience across pricing, service, and end-to-end administration.
  • Enjoy handling a variety of business challenges in a dynamic and varied environment.
  • Forecast a three-month outlook against your budget and present your strategy to deliver this, setting objectives and goals for you and your team.
  • Lead from the front in chasing leads to convert new business opportunities.
  • Promote the company image and develop good customer-company relationships.
  • Maintain a clean business by resolving queries and managing your own business admin.
  • Carry out specific tasks as directed by line managers.
  • Ensure compliance and discharge legal duties with regards to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, equitable, and legally compliant work place.

Desirable Experience:

  • Full UK driving license (essential).
  • Live in the North East and be happy to work on the road as well as occasional overnight stays (essential).
  • External sales/field sales experience (desirable).
  • Broad product range knowledge - aggregates and waste removal (desirable).
