About the Role

Forkway Group is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in designated territories. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, growing existing customer relationships, and increasing revenue.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and targeting new customers to increase sales margin, service contracts, parts sales, short-term hire, driver training, and Health & Safety
  • Growing the population of new and used equipment, service contracts, parts sales, and short-term hire with designated customers
  • Agreeing on annual and monthly targets for business generation to new customers and renewals for existing customers in areas of new and used equipment sales, service contracts, and short-term hire

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable direct sales experience, ideally in capital goods equipment or logistics, preferably within the Materials Handling industry
  • Demonstrable product, sector, and industry knowledge, commercially minded
  • Knowledge of storage and logistics systems
  • Understanding of marketing principles and account planning processes
  • Ability to communicate convincingly both orally and in writing to all levels
  • Experience of selling equipment and service contracts
  • Experience of organizing and prioritizing a demanding workload
  • Ability to engage with customers
