Pastry Kitchen Leader

First Choice Staff is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Kitchen Leader to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a section in the pastry kitchen, exceeding guest expectations, and training and developing Demi and Commis chefs with knowledge of patisserie and baking skills.
We offer a competitive salary up to £31,952 per annum, plus a service charge of £3,500 to £4,000.
Key Responsibilities:- To follow HACCP procedures daily, including diligence, food labeling, and weekly deep clean of your section.
- To maintain a clean, tidy, and organized environment at all times.
- To promote a high level of commitment among team members and encourage pride in their working environment.
- To plan and execute the day-to-day running of your section effectively to meet service standards.
- To supervise, train, and develop team members to expected standards set by the Head Pastry Chef.
- To maintain consistency in product quality within the pastry department on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- To demonstrate flexibility in responding to business and client needs.
- To comply with statutory and company health and safety regulations, as well as fire, bomb, and security regulations.
- To ensure job-required certificates and licensing are up to date, and employment law knowledge is current.
- To inform and educate other team members about these requirements and ensure they abide by them.
In addition to your main duties, you may be asked to complete other tasks and duties as necessary and reasonably required. You may occasionally need to adjust your hours of work to cover business needs.
Requirements & Qualifications:- NVQ Level 2 & 3.
- COSHH certification.
- Hotel or restaurant background experience.
- A good understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
- General kitchen and food knowledge.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- A flexible attitude to respond to business and client needs.
