Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to provide administrative and bookkeeping support to our finance team. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our daily financial activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Financial Transactions: Process daily cash receipts, issue sales invoices, and reconcile company accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage purchase invoices, ensure correct coding and VAT treatment, and reconcile to the general ledger.
  • Supplier Payments: Establish and maintain processes for timely supplier payments.
  • Bank and Credit Card Reconciliation: Reconcile bank, cash, credit card, and control accounts to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
  • Expense Claims: Process expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and pay agent's commission, complete BACS payments, and compile and process payroll on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and Month End Reports.
  • General Administration: Maintain business records, handle general filing, and assist auditors with preparation for the annual audit.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: Proven 2 years' experience in an accounts assistant role or similar.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
  • Education: Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance.
