About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Trust Administrator to join our busy private client team at Ledingham Chalmers LLP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including beneficiaries, accountants, and regulatory bodies, to ensure seamless trust administration.
  • Collaborate with legal colleagues on relevant matters, maintaining open communication and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage compliance records, providing regular updates and correspondence to trustees and beneficiaries.
  • Maintain a central diary of key trust dates and details of trust investments, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping.
  • Draft trust documentation under legal supervision, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Take minutes at trustee meetings, providing a clear and concise record of discussions and decisions.
  • Prepare annual reports for trustees, summarizing key activities and financial performance.
  • Arrange beneficiary payments, ensuring timely and secure transactions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role, with a strong track record of demonstrating effective communication, organisational, and administrative skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounts and financial reports, with the ability to interpret and analyse complex data.
  • Proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
