Plant Manager Role

Michael Page is seeking a high-impact individual to lead our manufacturing site in Lancaster. As a senior management role, you will be responsible for setting and executing the strategic operational direction of the plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement a long-term productivity strategy and manage the Production, Engineering, Quality, HSE, and Supply Chain Teams.
  • Analyse and drive the operational performance of the plant, championing quality excellence and right-first-time methodology.
  • Manage capex, plant development, and budgetary/financial reporting, as well as recruit and develop new team members.
  • Cultivate an accountable and agile culture, collaborating across the wider container division group to create and implement best practices.

We are looking for a proactive and natural leader with a strong operational leadership background, gained in a progressive, industrial manufacturing environment. You will have the experience, gravitas, and confidence to inspire the operational management team to create a 'can-do' culture across the business.

Key requirements include:

  • Proven management experience in leading a manufacturing operation with a track record in strategic manufacturing, change management, policies, processes, and systems.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing systems and processes, such as six sigma.
  • A proven track record in delivering exceptional customer service and quality standards, with expertise in delivering benchmark OTIF performance.
  • Proven track record in delivering complex projects and organizational transformations on time and on budget.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 plus bonus and benefits.
