**Job Summary:**
The successful candidate will be responsible for presenting and selling our diagnostic equipment range to medical professionals in the NHS and private hospitals. You will identify new sales prospects, develop relationships with key decision-makers, and negotiate contracts to agreed discount levels.
**Responsibilities:**
- Presentation and sales of diagnostic equipment in diagnostic and out-patient fields, including areas related to medical device capital sales into the NHS.
- Full utilization, organization, and accountability of demonstration equipment to facilitate product evaluation and convert sales opportunities.
- Negotiation to agreed discount levels, seeking proper approvals to ensure profit/discount levels.
- Identification and development of sales prospects and other key accounts for innovative products.
- Preparation of customer presentations, tenders, and proposals.
- Responsibility for the demonstration of equipment.
- Timely follow-up of all new leads and referrals resulting from field and marketing activity.
- Carrying out defined sales action plans and schedules as part of targeted marketing campaigns.
- Work with internal customers to facilitate the delivery of customer orders/supply contracts and resolution of customer inquiries.
- Coordination of supply contracts and provision of customer training/product troubleshooting.
- Projection/forecasting of the number of sales to be made (both capital and consumable).
- Maintenance of product knowledge to defined standards of competency.
- Participation in marketing events such as exhibitions and workshops, maintaining professional conduct at all times.
- Communication of new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
- Preparation of a business plan to allow target achievement with a review of territory/target objectives quarterly.
- Maintenance of CRM database, Solutions pipeline, Market database to ensure key customer details are correct and known.
**Requirements:**
- Experience in ophthalmology or strong clinical experience in the ophthalmology field.
- Experience in selling high capital medical equipment to the NHS or private hospitals.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with all levels of staff within NHS or Private Hospitals quickly.
**Desirable Skills:**
- Working knowledge and understanding of the theatre environment.
- Experience in ophthalmic diagnostics sales or clinical environment.
**Benefits:**
- Competitive salary (£60,000 - £80,000 per annum) + commission + company car and benefits.
**Location:** South West Region.
