Business Administration Manager

To provide a comprehensive and confidential administrative support service to the Pharmacy Team, ensuring the smooth operation of the office and the management of administrative tasks.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling sensitive and confidential matters, requiring a high degree of tact and diplomacy. They will work autonomously, giving advice and acting on their own initiative to assist in the effective management of the office.
The postholder will be responsible for assisting in the management of the office, delegating workload, and supervising other administrative staff. They will also be responsible for developing administration and clerical services, ensuring that staff needs are met through the PDP process and that staff are supported through regular contact and formal meetings.
The postholder will be directly supervised and will require a high level of personal initiative to make independent decisions regarding workload priorities, pharmacists, external pharmacy contractors, external contractors' enquiries, general telephone enquiries, and diary conflicts.
The service continually evolves, and new administrative systems need to be developed by producing standard operational procedures (SOPs).

What We're Looking ForWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced administrative professional to join our team. The successful candidate will have a professional qualification in a relevant discipline, such as Business Administration or Secretarial Studies, or equivalent previous experience.
They will have well-developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and good organisational and planning skills. They will also have a working knowledge of Microsoft packages and be able to prioritise work and work on their own initiative while under pressure.
The postholder will be required to maintain confidentiality, diplomacy, and discretion at all times.
Contract Type and LocationThis is a permanent, full-time position, working 37 hours per week. The role will be based in Kirklands, Bothwell, and the working pattern will be Monday to Friday, 9:00-5:00.
