Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Architect to join our Digital Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing secure and resilient digital systems that align with organisational goals and strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement application system arrangements within the digital technical environment.
- Ensure alignment with local and national digital strategies.
- Provide a point of contact for issues related to application function and proposed changes.
- Produce and maintain up-to-date digital technical design, architectural policy, and specification documentation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant and extensive IT experience gained through working within an IM&T setting at a senior level.
- A degree in information technology or a related field, such as computer science; or equivalent.
- Experience in infrastructure planning and implementation, excellent analytical and technical skills, strong leadership skills, and practical experience in managing hardware and software applications and solutions in medium to large organisations.
- Hands-on experience in IT project management with formal processes, sound experience in the architecture design and operations of high availability environments, and broad knowledge of trends in technologies and their applicability.
- The ability to quickly digest new technologies, communicate well with both technical and non-technical staff, determine and advise on the alignment of emerging technologies with business objectives, and excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of ITIL and formal project management methodologies, such as PRINCE2, is highly desirable but not mandatory.
The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
