Learning Disability Support Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Learning Disability Support Worker to join our team in Harwell, Oxfordshire. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs, promoting their independence and well-being.
Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate can expect a competitive hourly rate of £23 per hour, rising to £25 from 1st October 2024. Our comprehensive benefits package includes 33 days annual leave, generous holiday pay, and opportunities for career development through fully funded Level 2 Diplomas in Health & Social Care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist individuals with manual handling tasks, including hoists and wheelchairs;
- Provide full and intimate personal care, ensuring dignity and respect at all times;
- Support individuals with late-stage dementia diagnoses, epilepsy, and physical impairments, including those requiring medication assistance;
- Accompany individuals on community outings, using public transport or own vehicle (valid driving license required);
To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and patience. A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are desirable. We offer ongoing training and support to ensure your success in this rewarding position.
