Job Title: Support Worker - Young People

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Thornbury, supporting young people with cerebral palsy and complex needs.

About the Role:

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the young people in our residential setting to develop their skills and become independent. You will work closely with the team to create a homely and friendly environment, promoting the well-being and safety of our service users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the young people in developing their skills and becoming independent
  • Contribute to creating a homely and friendly environment
  • Deal with challenging behaviors in a safe and sympathetic manner
  • Provide personal care when required
  • Support the young people in promoting their independence and well-being
  • Maintain a safe environment for the service users
Requirements:
  • Experience working as an adult support worker in a similar setting is desirable
  • NVQ or QCF level 3 in Adult Social Care (desirable)
  • A passion for supporting people living their lives
  • You MUST be a driver as you may be required to travel between sites during shift
  • You must be over the age of 18
